Our Calgary location is seeking an experienced Cargo Ramp Lead to support our diverse operations. This is a part-time position.

Description:
The Cargo Ramp Lead is responsible for the handling and movement of the aircraft including loading and unloading of cargo, mail and baggage safely and efficiently using various equipment in an aviation setting. Key duties include operating machinery like k-loaders, ground service equipment, and conveyor belts, securing cargo, ensuring proper weight distribution, and verifying paperwork.

Responsibilities:
•    Direct movement of cargo between warehouse and aircraft using tugs, dollies, and high loaders.
•    Verify cargo against manifests and off-load sheets; ensure proper documentation for special cargo (DG, live animals, perishables).
•    Perform ramp and cargo services according to the standards set by Executive Flight Centre including but not limited to:
                 o    Primary k-loader operator
                 o    Loading and unloading aircraft.
                 o    Transferring cargo.
                 o    Securing, and staging of aircraft cargo or baggage.
                 o    Marshall and chock aircraft.
                 o    Provide lavatory and water service to aircraft. 
                 o    Provide a variety of servicing on aircraft.
•    Operate a variety of ground service equipment, including pushbacks, k-loaders, conveyors and baggage tugs.
•    Lead the loading/unloading of cargo, including ULDs, dollies and bulk freight, ensuring compliance with weight and balance requirements.
•    Ensure adherence to EFC Ground Operations Manual and procedures for B747F and other cargo freighter operations.
•    Oversee secure handling of oversized and high-value shipments.
•    Lead and mentor ramp agents; assign tasks and monitor performance.
•    Provide on-the-job training for freighter-specific procedures (e.g., nose-door loading, ULD restraint systems)
•    Ensure all records and entries have been updated and GSE inspections completed.
•    Complete all necessary end of day paperwork. 
•    Provide award-winning ground handling and cargo services including building quality relationships with customers.
•    Make sure all customer complaints are addressed and handled professionally, leaving the customer with a positive resolution.
•    Troubleshoot issues within the ground and cargo handling processes.
•    Responsible to clean all company vehicles, cargo and GSE equipment.
•    Maintain a tidy and orderly work area exhibiting pride in work performance and contributing to a healthy and safe work environment.
•    Ensure exceptional, courteous, and respectful customer service.
•    Comply with and participate in the Company’s Health & Safety and Quality programs and initiatives.
•    Expected to be cross trained in other airport ground handling operations.
•    Act as a relief Cargo Ramp Supervisor as required. 
•    Perform any other duties as required.

Qualifications and Experience:
•    Minimum 1-2 years of experience with loading cargo aircraft.
•    Previous experience operating high k-loaders for a cargo operation.
•    A valid class 5 driver’s license is required – No Graduated Driver’s License permitted.
•    Airport Security Clearance and Driver’s Abstract is required as a condition of employment.
•    Must hold a current Driver’s Authorization – Airside Vehicle Operators Permit. (DA AVOP)
•    Ability to recognize and action challenges that may arise promptly and efficiently.
•    Must be able to work shift work, including overnights and weekends.
•    First Aid, CPR, TDG WHMIS certification and ROC-A are assets.
•    Able to work inclement weather, overtime and extended shifts.
•    Able to effectively communicate both in writing and verbally including being able to provide clear and concise information by radio and phone, etc.
•    Able to lift or move up to 60 lbs independently.
•    Able to work in confined spaces. 
•    Highly motivated and able to work with minimal or no supervision.
•    Basic mathematics, trouble shooting skills and excellent attention to detail.
•    Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally always.
•    A strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
•    Professional, punctual, meticulous and diligent.
•    Able to work both independently and collaboratively as a productive member of the EFC Team.
