Our Penticton location is seeking an experienced Aircraft Refueler to support our diverse operations. This is a part-time position, working Saturday and Sunday from 7am-8pm.

Description:
Aircraft Refuelers operate trucks with a capacity of at least 33,100 Kgs. GVW up to 63,500 Kgs, to transport and deliver fuel and will be required to hot fuel helicopters for extended periods. 


Responsibilities:
•    Aircraft Fuelling.
•    Fuel Movement and Quality Control.
•    Responsible to clean, buildings and Fuel Trucks.
•    Strict adherence to safety rules on the ground, ramp and while using equipment.
•    Required to work in all types of weather conditions.
•    Physical requirements include considerable use of your arms and legs, climbing, lifting 60lbs repeatedly, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
•    Must work, weekends and stat holidays as required.
•    Fuel handling and serving Aviation fuels as per B836-05 standards.
•    Perform trip inspections pre and post on equipment operated and load, ensuring safety and roadworthiness.
•    Comply with applicable legislation including safe operation, carriage of goods, occupational health and safety, transportation of dangerous goods
•    Manoeuvre trucks around aircraft, check that vehicle position is correct and any special loading equipment is properly positioned.
•    Check vehicles before driving them to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order.
•    Report vehicle defects, accidents, or damage to the vehicles.
•    Check all load-related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate.
•    Operate equipment such as truck cab computers, Hi-vhf radios, and telephones to exchange necessary information with bases, supervisors, or other drivers.
•    Communicate effectively with the public, customers, and co-workers both verbally and in written form.
•    Assist in loading and unloading of trucks.
•    Ensure that material is properly protected from the outdoor elements.
•    Deliver to product and proper paperwork to our customers in a courteous and timely manner.
•    Provide feedback to supervisor regarding customer problems, mechanical problems, or delivery problems.
•    Maintain trucks overall service and perform required inspections.
•    Complete all necessary paperwork at the end of the shift.  May include, but not limited to, daily logs, inspection logs, delivery receipts, vehicle inspection, hours of service, etc.
•    Maintain a tidy and orderly work area exhibiting pride in work performance and contributing to a healthy and safe work environment.
•    Ensure exceptional, courteous, and respectful customer service.
•    Comply with and participate in the Company’s Health & Safety and Quality programs and initiatives.
•    Perform any other duties as required.

Experience and Qualifications: 
•    Air Brake Endorsement is preferred; however, training can be provided. 
•    Certification from recognized Truck Driving School is preferred
•    Clean Driver’s Abstract is required.
•    Defensive Driving Course is preferred.
•    Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to perform routine vehicle maintenance.
•    Able to lift up to 60 pounds.
•    Understanding of mathematics and basic computer skills.
•    Strong attention to detail and high degree of accuracy.
•    Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills. 
•    Professional, punctual, meticulous, and diligent. 
•    Demonstrated organizational skills with strong oral and written communication abilities.
•    Exceptional organizational abilities with task prioritization, multi-tasking, use of timelines and time management techniques.
•    High level of personal integrity.
•    Strong work ethic.
•    Professional/mature demeanor under stressful situations.
•    Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
•    Confident, consistent decisive personality.
•    Must be able to work with little supervision; must be self-directed.
