Full-time Temporary (Horizon Aerodrome)

This position is a temporary contract, projected to end October 2026, with the possibility of extension. The shift schedule is 4 days on, 3 days off with the potential of a 14 day on, 14 day off rotation. Travel to the Horizon Aerodrome will be provided by EFC from either Calgary or Edmonton.


Description:
The Travel Coordinator is responsible for overall assistance, communication, and administration of client transportation to and from the Horizon site, acting as the first point of contact for logistics, planning, and accommodations. Travel Coordinator is seconded to CNRL Horizon, reporting directly to the Lead, Transportation and Lead, Accommodations.


Responsibilities:
•    Coordinate and monitor flight and bussing schedules to optimize usage.
•    Assist CNRL transportation coordinators and accommodation coordinators, various stakeholders and passengers with queries and arrangements.
•    Responsible for remaining aware of all contractor counts for transportation requirements.
•    Make necessary changes to flights and bussing based on these counts.
•    Maintain all appropriate files and ensure they are kept current.
•    Build and maintain positive relationships with customers and external agencies through respectful communication.
•    Review data and monitor flight and bussing usage to gauge forecasting demand.
•    Create, monitor, and report logistics key performance indicators.
•    Develop and direct logistical processes and establish ongoing improvement plans.
•    Liaise with suppliers, contractors, coordinators, accommodations, lead and administrator for proper scheduling, logistics and setup (on boarding requirements).
•    Maintain a good understanding of the camp accommodation processes and the direct impact it has on scheduling.
•    Provide services after hours on an on-call/as-needed basis.
•    Maintain a tidy and orderly work area exhibiting pride in work performance and contributing to a healthy and safe work environment.
•    Ensure exceptional, courteous, and respectful customer service.
•    Comply with and participate in the Company’s Health & Safety and Quality programs and initiatives.
•    Perform any other duties as required.

Experience and Qualifications: 
•    Post-secondary training in logistics or administration is preferred.
•    Minimum of 5 years’ experience in airline or logistics operations or travel industry experience is required.
•    Knowledge and experience with flight reservation software.
•    Ability to make individual and group travel reservations.
•    Familiarity or experience with data integrity, forecasting, budgeting and planning.
•    Proficient with Microsoft Office products including Excel, Outlook and Word.
•    Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
•    Strong quantitative and critical thinking skills.
•    First Aid, CPR, TDG, WHMIS certification and Air to Ground License would be an asset.
•    Valid class 5 driver’s license and clean Driver’s Abstract. No restrictions permitted.
•    Able to meet all required pre-employment and site access screening including, but not limited to, Common Safety Orientation (CSO) course, Horizon Site Contractor Orientation and Pre-Employment Drug & Alcohol test.

•    EFC and CNRL required theoretical and practical training (e.g. WHIMS, etc.)
•    Highly motivated and able to work well independently with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment.
•    Able to deal with individuals sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically while being professional at all times.
•    Must have professional appearance and mannerisms.
•    Able to multi-task and establish priorities in a dynamic and changing environment.
•    Proactive and possess a positive attitude, approach and behaviour.
•    Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills.
•    A strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
•    Able to work collaboratively as a productive member of the EFC Team.
