Our Edmonton cargo location is seeking experienced Air Cargo Agents to support our diverse airport operations. These full-time positions have shift hours between 0500 - 1900 Monday through Sunday. The successful candidate must have the ability to work various shifts as scheduled.

 

Description:
The Air Cargo Agent is responsible for providing professional and courteous customer service in person. The Air Cargo Agent is accountable for the movement of air cargo on behalf of airlines and their customers in our Edmonton Air Cargo Operations. The Agent will interface with Drivers, Customers, Airline Representatives, Ramp Handlers and should always provide excellent customer service. They will troubleshoot, address, and resolve customer inquiries and concerns. The Air Cargo Agent promotes Executive Flight Centre, acting as a brand ambassador, providing positive experiences for all customers.

Responsibilities:
•    Provide award-winning service and build enduring, quality relationships with customers.
•    Demonstrate effective comprehension of all security procedures and regulations.
•    Provide high standards of service, exceeding customer expectations.
•    Effectively communicate with customer by phone, radio, or in person to provide a positive resolution to requests, grievances or concerns.
•    Lifting is required, up to 50lbs.
•    Follow all requirements related to Transport Canada’s Secure Supply Chain.
•    Ensure cargo segregation storage requirements are being met for time-sensitive, cooler, freezer, pharmaceutical, or dangerous goods.
•    Understand Edmonton cargo operations critical control points procedures including temperature and time-sensitive Pharma controls.
•    Cargo acceptance including document verification, physical cargo checks, completion of the cargo acceptance form and system entry.
•    Receive cargo from ramp handler including cargo physical checks, documentation verification, storage location tracking and system entry.
•    Cargo loading and release including physical cargo check against documentation, equipment checks and compliance signatures. 
•    Adhere to quarantine procedures including storage, documentation, notification and labelling.
•    Participate in the training and mentorship of new team members.
•    Must be able to successfully pass Transport Canada Security Screening Training.  
•    Maintain a tidy and orderly work area exhibiting pride in work performance and contributing to a healthy and safe work environment.
•    Ensure exceptional, courteous, and respectful customer service.
•    Comply with and participate in the Company’s Health & Safety and Quality programs and initiatives.
•    Perform any other duties as required.

 

Qualifications and Experience:
•    Aviation background, specifically in a Cargo role, is preferred.
•    Experience in Industry Regulatory Requirements including Transportation of Dangerous Goods (Air), Transport Canada Air Cargo Security Program considered an asset.  
•    Able to obtain an airport security clearance. Must not have a criminal conviction for which a pardon has not be granted. 
•    Valid class 5 driver’s license.
•    Proficient with MS Word and Excel required.
•    First Aid, CPR, TDG WHMIS certification and Air to Ground License an asset.
•    Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
•    Highly motivated and able to work well with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
•    Professional appearance and behaviour while providing superior customer service. 
•    Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills. 
•    Professional, punctual, meticulous and diligent. 
•    Able to work collaboratively as a productive member of the EFC Team.
